What are we willing to chase, and what does that reveal about us? From quiet cravings to reckless ambition, these films explore what drives us, and the unexpected lengths we'll go to in search of belonging, fulfilment, identity and survival.
Programmer's note: Whether searching for acceptance, solitude, status or simply a decent meal, these characters find themselves in situations where desire collides with expectation, often in ironic and unexpected ways. Through sharp direction and nuanced performances, each film uncovers something deeply human: the universal experience of longing, and discovering what our desires ultimately reveal about us.
