About the director: Billie is an award winning Directing Graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. Her graduate short film BINO, premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2012, winning two awards. BINO went on to be nominated for Best Film and Best Screenplay at the AACTA / AFI awards, Best Student Director at the Australian Director's Guild and screened at premium festivals nationally and internationally. Billie’s second short BABY BABY funded by the Screen NSW Emerging Filmmaker Fund, won the 2014 Australian Writer's Guild Award (AWGIE) for Best Short Film, Best Cinematography at the St Kilda Film Festival and was the Flickerfest Opening Night film.
Billie has just finished her latest short FYSH, funded by the Screen Australia Hot Shots initiative, where she was mentored by Garth Davis (Lion, Top Of The Lake).
